Here are my thoughts after everything that happened. Think of this not as an end, but as a new beginning. Justice by All is real thanks to all of you.

Hi everybody. I’ve gotten a mailing from our killer and I’m going to confront him face to face. After I post this video, I’m about to go dark until that confrontation happens. None of this was an easy decision, I’d prefer to be completely transparent with you guys in the spirit of crowd-sourced crimesolving, but it’s what needs to be done. I understand that you’d do anything to push this investigation forward but I’m incredibly concerned that he now has physical addresses for some of you. Be cautious, those of you who sent them in. And like I said, wish me luck. Although, he’s gonna need it too. This bastard’s about to learn never to mess with my hunters.

Also, I’ve already told you guys that we’ve been looking into Driscoll’s new identity – checking his financial activities and things of that sort. His accounts have been cleared which could imply that he’s on the run, but since he’s been sending you guys messages I’m assuming that this is not over. Now that you’ve pieced together that disturbing picture, just keep us informed if there are any updates on that site. The things he spends his time on…

On another topic, I’ve been concerned about some of your names being on the note I discovered. Just to play it safe, I’ve notified several police departments and informed them of the situation. If some of you happen to notice a few extra police patrols in your neighborhoods, well, now you know why.

And by the way, good work solving my ASCII puzzle. To answer your question Fidelis, yes, you do deserve to be congratulated.

After we discovered Ananta Tech Labs, and everything was cleared out I knew we couldn’t just keep doing things on his terms and expect a different outcome. So I decided to change things up.

He’s obviously become quite cocky, so after craigslist, he assumed that I’d just give you his next clue. I didn’t. Instead I decided to mess with his head by taking away the one thing he’s been trying to control this entire time – his game.

So the clues– the f8thegr8 email, the cupcakes, and the puzzle with the ASCII pictures – it was actually something I fabricated. I wish I could have warned you guys, but knowing that he reads the site, I couldn’t risk letting you guys in on the decoy. Don’t worry that you never solved it, based on his reaction today, it achieved its purpose. It obviously got to him.

Anyway despite my actions, I knew he’d find another way to get his clue out to you guys in order to keep his game going, and the Q&A was an obvious platform for him to do so. That’s why I was ready for him today.

From the get-go, you guys pegged his profile as that of an egomaniac, and that’s exactly the card I was playing in all of this. By subverting his control over the game and then on top of that, attacking his worldview and serial killer ego, I was able to hit him on a deeper psychological level.

I knew it was a long shot but I almost lucked out. And it didn’t hurt that he was having technological difficulties as well. The point is, he slipped up with his impulse phone call and I was able to trace it back to a hotel. Unfortunately he realized what he did so he slipped away before I got there, but we got close this time. He didn’t even have time to grab all his belongings.

Okay, brace yourselves for the next part. I wasn’t sure whether or not to share this, but the risk is too great not to. One of the things he left was a coat and I found something interesting in one of the pockets – this note with some of your login names on it. I’m not sure what these are for, but if you’re on this list, I need you to take extra caution. Especially now that he’s aggravated. We don’t know what’s going through his mind. A frustrated serial killer is even more dangerous than a regular one.

I visited the scene of Ananta Tech Labs. As I said before, we’ve been looking deeper into his life. If this was Driscoll’s new identity he did a pretty good job of blending in. And the fact that he led us right to him, he would only have done that if he had some larger plan in mind.
